Your Hosts
Rod being an ex Vietnam Veteran is looking forward to meeting up with some of his mates he has not seen since Vietnam days. Standown Park, though, will be in good hands as Rod and Pam’s daughter Prue has taken over the business. Prue has been brought up in the bush and has a very practical knowledge of the country, city and business way of life. She also has the same values and ideas as her parents. With a Veteran father and having served three years as Sergeant in Army cadets, Prue has a good basic understanding of the forces personnel. Her aim is to continue the relaxed atmosphere of the park with the cook outs and camp fires burning. Though with youth on her side, Prue has some amazing ideas to implement which will add to the enjoyment of your stay. Having lived in the area for some years before running big businesses on the Gold Coast and Tamworth, Prue has a wealth of local knowledge to share with you to help make your visit more interesting and enjoyable. If you like walking, she is only too happy to have you join her in the mornings for a walk through the pine forest surrounding the Park. Come and join Prue for Happy Hour and meet new and old friends around the fire.
